Allegri Rosso di Salento - 2008Italian Red Wine 75 cl Bottle
A soft easy drinking red from Puglia, the stiletto heel of Italy. It is a blend of local varieties including Negroamaro and Sangiovese and reflects the warm sun and ripe fruit of this remote Mediterranean region.
Founded in 1928 by Carlo Botter, the company is still in family control, being third genaration. The company has grown from making wines from the family estate of 100 hectares on the Veneta-Fruili boarder, to working with producers across Italy, especially in the regions of Puglia, Molise, Abruzzo and Sicily.
