Chateau du Cros - 2002Bordeaux White Wine 75 cl Bottle
A rich and concentrated dessert wine from a blend of Semillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle grapes affected by noble rot and aged in barrel like classic Sauternes. It has a concentrated, luscious character, intense rounded sweetness balanced by good acidity on the finish.
Chateau du Cros is perched on a 100m high clay-limestone outcrop, looking out over the surrounding vineyard and the Sauternes region across the Garonne River. The steep limestone slopes are used for the production of late harvested sweet wine, often with the benefit of noble rot to shrivel and concentrate the grapes.
