This site aims to be the most enjoyable and informative way of finding out what you want to know about wine.

There is a history of wine page charting how and why it is thought wine came into being, through to Dom Perignon with a brief mention of the Royal Navy in between. An easy to follow glossary of wine terms and a guide to how wine is made dispells the mystique. 

Regularly we will try, at random, a reasonably priced wine from one of the  national supermarket chains and let you know what we think of it for taste and value for money. Our recent purchase was a 2005 Bordeaux Lussac Saint-Emilion a half price offer at £6.99 from Tesco, it was reasonable but not outstanding.

This site offers visitors an insight into the history of wine, the vast variety of wine types, something about the regions, producers, where to visit: all designed to make wine a good and enjoyable experience.
